Weekly Blog Posts + Mayo!

I'm not good at writing blogs because I always think they have to be long and involved and that I need to make sure people know it depends on their specific needs what is actually recommended for them, but I've decided that I have lots of fun and helpful things that I can post every week, so that's what I'm going to focus on, and if I decide to throw something a little more serious I will, but in the meantime I'm going to share yummy recipes, products to check out, and good substitutions to try for all the yummy but sometimes bad for us things that we like.

So here we go!

I feel like you either love or hate mayo. So for those of you that love mayo, did you know that most contain soybean oil, canola oil, safflower or sunflower oil? None of those are good for you. Even if you eat it rarely, don't do it. And check your salad dressings and hummus labels for those oils too. They can seriously mess up your liver and your hormones.

Even if it says "Made with olive oil" on the front label, check the ingredient label. I'm pretty sure it's lower on the ingredient list than the bad oils. It's an annoying marketing loophole.

So what to get instead?

-Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil Mayo - Costco or Sprouts- and probably Whole Foods and Mother's Market

-Chosen Foods Mayo - Sprout's or Thrive Market (membership based but you get a good discount on it plus lots of other things, and free shipping if you order $49 worth of products- totally worth it - if you're a client ask me about a link that will save you 40% off your first order- or feel free to ask period and I'm happy to share).

I've had mayo conossieurs tell me that it tastes different. It does taste a little different. I get it. Change is hard. :D But you'll get used to it, and your body will thank you for this little but beneficial change. Or find a recipe and make your own!
